Vegan Friendly was established in August 2012. When Vegan Friendly was established, Israel was not a very vegan-friendly country, with only one vegan restaurant and almost no vegan options in the supermarkets. Today, Israel is one of the most vegan countries in the world with thousands of vegan-friendly certified businesses and branches. At the beginning of 2013, we started to label products that are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

Since our establishment, we have produced many events including vegan fests, vegan congresses, holiday food events, and the largest animal rights protest in history. We also produced impactful campaigns such as billboards, VR campaigns, radio ad, and prime time TV ads. These campaigns have reached more than 37 million people.

In 2018, we launched the food engineers project in which we collaborate with food producers in reimagining their recipes, seamlessly transitioning their offerings to plant-based alternatives. In 2019 we launched our Vegan Friendly app that helps people find vegan dishes around them. In 2020 we started our global expansion with the establishment of Vegan Friendly UK and in 2022 we established Vegan Friendly USA.
